The Government of India has increased the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of copra from Rs. 4,525 per quintal to Rs. 5,100 per quintal for calender year 2012. This is an increase of Rs. 575 a quintal or 12.71 percent over last year’s MSP fixed for copra.
