The Government of India has increased the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of bajra or pearl millet from Rs. 980 to Rs. 1,175 per quintal for the crop year 2012-2013. This is an increase of Rs. 195 a quintal or 19.89 percent over last year’s MSP fixed for bajra.
