The Government of India has increased the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of sunflower seed from Rs. 2,800 to Rs. 3,700 per quintal for crop year 2012-2013. This is an increase of Rs. 900 a quintal or 32.14 percent over last year’s MSP fixed for sunflower seed.
