The Government of India has increased the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of sesamum from Rs. 3,400 to Rs. 4,200 per quintal for the crop year 2012-2013. This is an increase of Rs. 800 a quintal or 23.53 percent over last year’s MSP fixed for sesamum.
