The Government of India has increased the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of safflower from Rs. 1,800 to Rs. 2,500 per quintal for the marketing season 2012-2013. This is an increase of Rs. 700 a quintal or 38.89 percent over last year’s MSP for safflower.
