Reservation for the Non Resident Indians in PDA Enclave Dhuri Freehold Residential Plots Scheme

Dhuri (Punjab, India), November 14, 2015

The Patiala Urban Planning and Development Authority (PDA) had launched a 210 freehold residential plots scheme (PDA Scheme Code PDA Enclave Dhuri) in PDA Enclave, Dhuri (District Sangrur) in Punjab on June 03, 2015.

As per Punjab Government’s current reservation policy, 10% of the total number of plots in 150 square yards, 200 square yards, 250 square yards, 300 square yards, 325 square yards, 400 square yards, and 450 square yards plots category are reserved for the Non Resident Indians (NRIs) in the PDA Enclave Dhuri plots scheme.

Accordingly, the Patiala Urban Planning and Development Authority had reserved 20 plots for the Non Resident Indians category applicants in PDA Enclave Dhuri freehold residential plots scheme.

Different Sizes of Plots Available for Persons of Punjab Origin Settled Abroad (Category Code: I)

150 Square Yards = 2 Residential Plot
200 Square Yards = 4 Residential Plot
250 Square Yards = 5 Residential Plot
300 Square Yards = 3 Residential Plot
325 Square Yards = 2 Residential Plot
350 Square Yards = 0 Residential Plot
400 Square Yards = 2 Residential Plot
450 Square Yards = 2 Residential Plot

Total Plots Available for the Punjabis and Persons of Punjab Origin Settled Abroad = 20 Residential Plots

Allotment of a residential plot in the PDA Enclave Dhuri scheme to a Non Resident Indian (NRI) applicant will be subject to fulfillment of the applicable eligibility terms and conditions.

Eligibility Conditions for the Non Resident Indians for PDA Enclave Dhuri Plots Scheme

A Punjabi and Person of Punjab Origin Settled Abroad (Non Resident Indian or NRI) is whose origin is from the state of Punjab and who is presently a citizen of any other country, subject to the following conditions:

He or she is ready to make payment through foreign exchange such as Euro, US Dollars, Canadian Dollars, Australian Dollars or Pounds Sterling. No other currency is acceptable.

The applicant under Punjabis and Persons of Punjab Origin Settled Abroad category must not have availed benefit of allotment of an apartment, flat, built-up house, or a residential plot under any reserved category in any scheme of any Government agency anywhere in the Punjab state.

Eligibility Certificate for the Non Resident Indians for PDA Enclave Dhuri Plots Scheme

In case of Punjabis and Persons of Punjab Origin settled abroad, a valid certificate issued by the Competent Authority (Sub Divisional Magistrate) is required.

He or she will be required to submit a documentary proof regarding his or her, his or her father and mother, his or her grandfather and grandmother were original residents of the State of Punjab in India. To verify this claim a certificate from Sub Divisional Magistrate concerned would be required which will be issued on the basis of the agriculture property, house, or plot of residence or any other ancestral property.

He or she will also be required to submit a documentary proof regarding his or her being citizen of any other country.

Affidavit to be Submitted by the Non Resident Indians Category Applicants

All the Non Resident Indians applicants will have to submit an affidavit on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 25, attested by the Executive Magistrate or Notary Public (as per the specimen format given below).

Allotment of the residential plots in PDA Enclave Dhuri scheme shall be governed by the provision contained in the Punjab Regional and Town Planning and Development Act 1995 and the Rules and Regulations framed there under and as amended from time to time.
