The Indian Air Force (IAF) inducted 322 trainees as the full-fledged Air Warriors into it at a passing out parade held at the IAF Station Tambaram in Chennai, Tamilnadu on July 01, 2011.

Before being inducted into the Indian Air Force, these Air Warriors had undergone a rigorous intensive training at the Mechanical Training Institute (MTI) and Workshop Training Institute (WTI).

Besides these 322 Air Warriors, seven soldiers from the Nepal Air Force, two soldiers from the Sri Lanka Air Force, and four soldiers from the Myanmar Air Force also earned the course certification at the end of their training.

Training and learning is a continuous process in the Indian Air Force. The IAF personnel should update themselves regularly in order to keep pace with the ever-changing technological environment. As the operational efficiency of the Indian Air Force depends upon the maintenance and administrative support, these newly inducted Air Warriors should strive for excellence in their respective trades.

In the recent years, career prospects in the Indian Air Force have substantially improved. Efforts of the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, are on to further the promotional prospects of the IAF personnel.

The Indian Air Force is in the progression of a technology based transformation and modernization with the phased induction of state-of-the-art, high-performance fighter aircrafts and high precision military hardware and automation.
