Government of India Raises Commission of the Petrol Pump Dealers
New Delhi (Delhi, India), October 18, 2019
The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, has increased commission of the petrol pump dealers across the country to Rs. 1,799 from Rs. 1,499 per kilolitre of petrol and to Rs. 1,089 from Rs.912 per kilolitre of diesel with effect from Friday, October 26, 2012.
Subsequent to the government’s approval to enhance the commission of petrol pump dealers, petrol and diesel prices will go up by Rs. 0.30 and Rs. 0.18 per litre respectively.
A committee set up in 2010 by the petroleum ministry, after the petrol pump dealers had threatened to go on strike, made the recommendation for increasing the commission.
The Federation of All India Petroleum Traders (FAIPT) was asking for an increase of Rs. 0.67 per litre for petrol and Rs. 0.42 per litre for diesel as a commission.
